The comet is clearly related to the Lich somehow, and it yearned for the extinction of all life. Of course it’s one thing to list off a bunch of connections, but what does it mean? Let’s start with right when Gunther was (presumably) destroyed by the comet. A more anecdotal piece of evidence is Tree Trunks brief appearance as Quartzion, the Crystal Queen, and Magwood’s relation to the Ruby which powers the crown. What gives the resemblance more significance is Tree Trunks relation to the Lich, the adoptive mother of its restored version. The primary piece of evidence upon which this theory is based is their physical resemblance to one another, especially after Magwood is doused. Evergreen Theory My theory is that Magwood is related to Tree Trunks somehow.
